Tucked away in a quaint street in the centre of Dartmouth, Yarn is a hip, informal treasure trove of good food, friendly faces and cosy vibes. Yarn offers the best of both worlds; tranquility in its location, and vibrancy in its menu.
Boasting a fresh yet intimate interior, Yarn specialise in local craft beer, gins and top-quality wines. An ever-changing menu, which focuses on regional and seasonal produce, only heightens the vibrancy and intrigue of the bar and eatery. Having recently added Brunch to their contemporary menu, Yarn truly cover all of the bases!
The Eatery itself is tucked away in the bustling centre of Dartmouth... perfect for people watching! The cosy kitchen-style diner is studded with history and passion; each and every detail has been considered, from the handy coat hooks at the bar, to the up-cycled seating; from the hand-picked flags (each flag has its own unique story!) draped from the ceiling, to the nautical touches that are at the core of the branding.
Having only opened it's doors just over a year ago, Yarn has firmly established itself as the go-to place for chilled brunches, fresh coffee and vibrant evenings.
After meeting in New Zealand, Jade and Will moved back to his hometown of Dartmouth. The pair sought an exciting new adventure and, guided by their passion for food and travel, found a 'Yarn shaped gap' in the Dartmouth Independent Scene. They now consider their customers, and the local community, to be a part of their extended family.
The pair keep things as local as possible to ensure great tasting food as well as the empowerment of the local community. Meat is sourced from a local butcher, the majority of vegetables are homegrown by Wills dad and every box of eggs arrives on the back of a Bicycle that's travelled the short distance from Kingswear. It can't get much fresher!
This same attention to detail is given to their coffee; each delicious cup is sourced from Roastworks Coffee, in Exeter. And the Gin? Dartmouth Gin, of course!
They've got the food, they've got the coffee and they've certainly nabbed a brilliant location in the centre of Dartmouth...
Yarn is a dog friendly eatery which means you'll have the delight of meeting the wonderful Arnie too! If he isn't offering you a friendly welcome, he'll be chilling, or people watching by the front door.
PS. The intimate setting is perfect for festivities. Why not join Jade and Will on Christmas day for a unique family-style Christmas dinner?
